On the 21st of July 2019, at 5 o’clock in the morning, our fellow Bitwisers geared up and put on their running shoes to participate for the fourth year in the ‘NIO Vision Marathon’. The aim of the run was to spread awareness about avoidable blindness and the importance of measures one can take for the same. With a top-notch stamina and inexorable spirits about 40 Bitwisers ran 5km, 10km and 21 km distances. The highlight, however, was the participation of nearly 30 visually impaired children who, along with fellow Bitwisers, ran the buddy marathon (2kms) to break the world record for the largest blindfolded run. This exemplifies the fact that if you are resolute to complete the goal, the distance is just a number.
